Tom Wopat
TOM WOPAT returns to Broadway after appearing in the revival of 42nd Street and a nearly two-year run as Frank Butler opposite Bernadette Peters in Annie Get Your Gun, for which he received a Tony nomination. He recently starred with Amy Irving in The Guys Off-B'way. Perhaps best known for his seven-season run in the TV phenomenon The Dukes of Hazzard, and most recently seen on the hit CBS sitcom Cybill, Tom Wopat began singing and dancing in musicals at the age of 12. His theatre career began in college in productions of West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar and South Pacific. His NY debut was in the Off-B'way musical A Bistro Car on the CNR, and he then signed for the title role of The Robber Bridegroom at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. His B'way debut followed in Cy Coleman and Michael Stewart's I Love My Wife. In 1986 he starred in Carousel at the Kennedy Center. Recent B'way credits: City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. He has released several successful albums with CBS and Capitol Records, yielding several top-20 hits, and has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe. He performed at Carnegie Hall with the Cincinnati Symphony in 1997 and 2002.
