ROBERT S. ISAACSON has enjoyed a 25 year career in New York City cable television. In 1992, he was appointed Executive Director of City University Television, CUNY TV, channel 75, the cable television station of The City University of New York where he serves today. CUNY TV is the nation's largest non-commercial university cable television channel, reaching approximately two million households citywide. Under his direction in 2000, CUNY TV established new "state of the art" digital television facilities, located at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street. Mr. Isaacson is responsible for creating countless hours of local cultural, educational and public affairs programs for the New York City cable TV audience. Mr. Isaacson also established CUNY TV as a place where New York City non-profit arts and cultural organizations can come and collaborate with CUNY TV in co-productions that inform, as well as entertain and delight viewers. In January 2001, he was honored by the French Government with a Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for his work in French language television. In 2002 and 2003 he received five New York Emmy nominations. The CUNY TV Foundation was established in November 2003. Mr. Isaacson serves as the Foundation's chairman and CEO.
