JOHN C. REILLY returns to New York with Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire having last appeared on Broadway in Sam Shepard’s True West. A native of Chicago, Mr. Reilly has worked in the theatre most of his life. In Chicago he has appeared in productions at the Steppenwolf and Organic theatre companies among others. Some of these include The Grapes of Wrath (which later moved to Broadway) and A Streetcar Named Desire (as Harold Mitchell).In Los Angeles he produced and played the title role in Eugene Ionesco’s Exit the King at the Actor’s Gang Theatre. He has also appeared in many films. Some of these include Casualties of War, State of Grace, Hoffa, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, Georgia, Sydney (aka Hard Eight), Boogie Nights, The Thin Red Line, Magnolia, For Love of the Game, The Perfect Storm, The Anniversary Party, The Good Girl, Gangs of New York, Chicago, Criminal and The Aviator. This summer he will appear in the upcoming thriller Dark Water. Mr. Reilly is thrilled and honored to be back on Broadway’s boards.
