JEFF MARX with Robert Lopez made their Broadway debut with Avenue Q (Music and Lyrics, Original Concept). They began writing Avenue Q in the BMI Workshop in 1999, thinking it was a great idea for a TV series ? three years later it was produced Off-Broadway, Broadway (with three Tony Awards), Las Vegas and London. Bobby and Jeff are currently writing the screenplay and songs for a new movie-musical for Universal Pictures as well as writing a new Broadway musical with Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park. Their other works include a new Muppet movie called Kermit, Prince of Denmark (which received the coveted Ed Kleban Award) and Ferdinand the Bull, a children's musical for TheatreWorks/USA.
