Eileen Atkins
EILEEN ATKINS is currently staring in Doubt at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Other Broadway credits include: The Killing of Sister George (Tony nomination), The Promise, Vivat! Vivat! London: Semi-Detached, Exit the King (Derwent Award), The Killing of Sister George (Evening Standard Award), The Cocktail Party (London Critics Award), Vivat! Vivat! Regina (Variety Club Award), Passion Play, The Winter's Tale (Olivier), The Night of the Iguana (Plays and Players Award), A Delicate Balance (Evening Standard Award), Honor (Olivier), Love's Labour's Lost, and Medea. TV: The Lady's Not for Burning, The Three Sisters, The Heiress, The Letter, Major Barbara, The Duchess of Malfi, Electra, The Lady From the Sea. >Films: Cold Mountain, Vanity Fair, The Hours, Gosford Park, Cold Comfort Farm, The Dresser, Equus and Mike Nichols' Wolf and Wit. Eileen co-created the series Upstairs Downstairs, and won the Evening Standard Award for Best Film Script for her adaptation of Mrs. Dalloway. She was made a Dame by the Queen in 2000.
