ANDREW H. MARKS, a graduate of Yale University, went into the Risk Management/Insurance Brokerage business after spending several years vagabonding around the world, posing as a dishwasher, English teacher, dance instructor, etc. Returning to New York in 1962, Andy spent 25 years with a large regional insurance brokerage, Schiff Terhune, Inc., as Executive Vice President, until it was sold to Reed Stenhouse. In 1986 Andy and several associates started MLW Services Inc., grew it into one of the larger boutique insurance brokerage firms in New York City, with Andy as President and CEO and merged it into Bollinger Inc, the 20th largest firm in the US in 2006.. In the not-for-profit area, Andy served on the Board of the Town School,and still serves on the Board of Summerbridge (now called Breakthrough) and the Jewish Guild for the Blind. Andy is married to Terri Flax of Denver, and they have two children together?Sam, 20, and Charlotte, 15. In addition, Andy has two older boys from a previous marriage. Andy's interest in the theatre stems from both his business and from his parents taking him and his siblings to every Broadway musical beginning with Up in Central Park in 1945.
